ABOUT US
Chick-Owa is a non-profit club whose purpose is to provide its members a safe, family friendly place to enjoy all types of shooting sports. We have shooting ranges for handgun, rifle, muzzle loader, and shotgun, as well as an outdoor archery range.
Our rifle and handgun ranges are for members only and are open Monday through Saturday, with shooting hours from 9am to 9pm (or dusk). All gun ranges are closed on Sunday. We also close the shooting ranges for trap and other special events, please check the calendar for possible range closures.
Although the gun ranges are closed on Sundays, the archery ranges are open to its members.
ChickOwa hosts open trap shooting every Thursday evening, from early May running to the end of October. There is also an indoor winter archery league and open archery from January to March.
BUILDING
BUILDING INFORMATION
Our clubhouse is a masonry block building with a main hall, kitchen facilities, and restrooms.
Our membership enjoys the use of our clubhouse to gather before, during, and after many of the activities that run throughout the year.
During the months of January, February, and March we utilize the main hall for Indoor Archery.
We also use it to hold educational classes for adults and youth, such as Michigan Hunter Safety, International Bow Hunters Safety, Personal Protection and other educational courses.
Our clubhouse is used monthly to hold our Board of Directors and Membership Meetings. We also host the MUCC District 5 meeting in February every year.
The clubhouse is available to rent for banquets, receptions, parties and private meetings, see Rentals.
RENTAL INFORMATION
We rent our clubhouse to private parties for various outings such as family reunions, graduation and /or birthday parties, weddings, etc. It is also available for company outings and/or meetings.
Our facilities include heat and A/C, a full kitchen with appliances, men’s and women’s restrooms, a main hall with tables and chairs (120 person capacity), a large outdoor fire pit.
Rental fee is $400.00 plus a $300.00 security deposit.
Arrangements can also be made for the use of our Archery, Trap, and Firearm Ranges at an additional cost.
