Range Information

The Chick-Owa Sportsman’s Club has ranges for a variety of uses and activities. We currently have an Indoor Archery Range, a Trap Range , a Rifle/ Pistol Range , and an Outdoor Archery Range. We utilize these ranges for a variety of activities. Future plans include a walk through the woods 3-D Archery Range on the north half of our property. Rifle/Pistol Ranges

The Chick-Owa Sportsman’s Club has a, recently improved, Rifle/ Pistol Range with two 25 yard shooting ranges and a 100 yard range which also doubles as a 200 yard range. Our two 25 yard ranges are separated by dirt bunkers for safety and convenience. The two 25 yard ranges can be used independently from our other ranges. Our 100 yard range is used regularly during open range times and can accommodate up to 14 shooters at one time. 

Our 200 yard range overlaps our 100 yard range and is used periodically for sighting, but primarily used for hosting rifle shooting events, such as the CMP Clinics (Civilian Marksmanship Program) and Fun Shooting Rifle Events.

Trap Range

The Chick-Owa Sportsman’s Club has a Trap Shooting Range located up by our clubhouse. We host Open Trap Shooting every Thursday, starting at 5:00pm from the beginning of April through October.



Our Trap Range is also available for scheduled events. If you would like to schedule a Rental with a trap shoot, we will be happy to make arrangements and provide a Range Safety Officer for your shoot time.


We also use our Trap Range on a regular basis for Special Events, such as the SCTP (Scholastic Clay Target Program) Michigan Hunter Safety, and other Educational Programs.

Archery Ranges

Indoor Archery
During the months of January, February, and March, The Chick-Owa Sportsman’s Club hosts Indoor Archery Leagues that occur on Monday night.


Outdoor Archery

During the months of August and September, The Chick-Owa Sportsman’s Club hosts a Broad Head Archery League. The Broad Head League shoots on our Outdoor Archery Range. The Outdoor Archery Range is located along the west side of our property. It begins by our clubhouse and ends down by the 100yd backstop for the Rifle/ Pistol Range, which is 300yds north of our clubhouse. We also plan to construct a walk through the woods 3-D Archery Range in the near future.
